The weight of a roof without lateral horizontal supports tends to push the walls and aisle arches outwards and, in common with other churches with waggon roofs, this is what happened at Hinton Blewett. The roof of the nave has ceiled bosses at intervals in the centre, while that over the North aisle is flat panel panelled oak.
