Hinton Blewett’s playing field was opened in 2014. It is situated near the top of Hook Lane on land leased from the Rees-Mogg estate. The equipment was purchased thanks to kind donations from local residents at many fundraising events as well as a substantial Awards-for-All grant. Recently new equipment has been installed thanks to further village fundraising and B&NES Community Empowerment Fund.
The Playing Field is maintained by the Parish Council and kept tidy thanks to the efforts of a small number of volunteers cutting the grass and carrying out weekly visual inspections of the equipment.
The Playing Field Management Committee meets regularly to discuss suggestions and improvements to the facility. Suggestions are welcomed as are new members of the Committee. Please contact the Parish Council if you are interested.
